What kind of tickets do I need?

Depending on where employment will be, most work sites do require Fall Protection, Confine Space, WHMIS etc. Once employed with PACL, there may be additional training that is required.

What is the work schedule?

Depending on where employment will be, most work schedules are 2 weeks in and 2 weeks out rotation. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8am -5pm.

What types of employment opportunities are there with Points Athabasca Contracting?

There are many different opportunities available with PACLP such as Labourers, Carpenters, Heavy Equipment Operators, Scaffolders, Pipefitters, Ironworkers, Administration, Welders and professional positions.

Will I be considered for other positions if I am unsuccessful for the job I applied for?

Yes, all applicants are kept in our database for a period of 6 months.

Where are your current projects located?

Our projects are primarily located in Northern Saskatchewan.  

What type of benefits does your company offer?

Benefits are awarded after the employees’ probationary period is over.  PACLP offers medical, dental benefits, life insurance, Company sponsored EAP program, a matched company pension plan, company matched TFSA or company matched RRSP.

Do you offer on-the-job training?

Depending on the position, we offer training opportunities.

Do you have apprenticeship opportunities?

We do offer some apprenticeship opportunities.

When are pay days?

Bi-weekly on Mondays for salaried employees and Fridays for hourly

Does the company award holidays?

Salaried employees are awarded holidays while hourly employees the holiday pay is paid out on every cheque through out the year.

Does the company provide sick days?

Yes, the company provides 5 sick days a year as well as 3 personal days a year. Sick days and personal days are not cumulative and do not carry over to the next year.

Is there opportunity for advancement?

Points Athabasca Contracting has many opportunities for advancement both in the office and in the field. This is part of our goal of building capacity.
